Summer Harvests!

We are really enjoying our summer harvests.  Yesterday I picked green beens, swiss chard, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, zucchini, summer squash and corn.  Today was lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, summer squash and zucchini.  We’re eating fresh garden vegetables for lunch and dinner every day.  It’s lovely!

We’re having a beautiful weekend here in Columbia City! Even the tomato plants that were unhappy earlier in the week are doing well.
Our lettuce crop is huge right now.  Next year I will space out the plantings better. I planted more continuity butterhead lettuce today and another patch of oak leaf.
